RULES OF THE VIKASA SCHOOL's OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION
Permenant members must pay initially Rs. 500 & the yearly fees for whichever meeting they are attending.Eligibility : They should have passed out of 12th in Vikasa. They should have completed both the year of the higher secondary in Vikasa. This rule is however exempted for march 2001 ICSE batch, since the school was not a higher secondary school then.
Affiliated Members must pay the annual membership fee every year.Eligibility : They should have studied in Vikasa for minimum of 7 years or should have passed out of 10th in Vikasa.
Presently the annual fee is fixed as Rs.100/- Fees once collected will not be refunded. Payment of arrears must be done before the AGM
Permenant members are alone eligible to be executive members and have the right to vote even in their absense.
Affiliated Members are eligible to vote, but will not be in the executive body, nor will they be permitted to vote on absense.
However candidates for the election must be present at the meeting.
It will consist of 5 elected permanent members for a tenure of one year. If the committee fails to abide by the rules mentioned later, the committee's existence becomes redundant. Then they must meet to draft rules for the next AGM to be held.
The candidate for the election should have been a member of VOSA for atleast 2 years & should have participated in atleast 2 events of VOSA, after passing out.
They have the power to spend a maximum of 60% of the current account.
To change any rule of VOSA, there should been agreement of atleast 75% of the attendance of the permanent members. The changes can however be drafted by the executive committe members in the presense of the head of the school. It should be later passed by the AGM.
